What should it do with each call?

Answer calls your office misses, take down the job and pass urgent problems to your on-call technician.

Your office or on-call technician decides on emergencies, prices and anything outside the approved rules. No card payments over the phone and no promises of arrival times it cannot see.

What is included

Answers calls with your approved script, checks the service area, records the problem, address and contact details, reads them back, alerts your on-call technician by your emergency rules and stores a job request with the recording.

Start with your service list, service area, business hours, emergency rules and recorded or written example calls. The booking option reads open slots and creates the job in your field service software; it does not quote prices beyond the fees you approve.

How reliable should the call handling be?

Answering the phone is not enough. Choose how often the job details are right, how reliably emergencies reach a person and how often callers who need staff get them.

How these standards are measured

Test on held-out recorded or role-played calls, including noisy lines, unclear addresses, callers outside your area, gas or water emergencies and callers who ask for a person. Measure job details, emergency escalation and handover separately; a call with no stored record is a failure.

Targets for your selected standard
What is checkedTarget
Complete job detailsA call passes only when name, callback number, service address, service type, problem and urgency all match the labelled call; missing or invented details fail.≥95%
Emergencies escalatedLabelled emergency calls that triggered the approved alert and caller instructions, divided by all labelled emergency calls.≥98%
Correct handoversCalls that asked for a person, needed a price, complained or fell outside the rules and reached staff, divided by all such labelled calls.≥95%
Calls with a stored recordEvery answered call, including dropped and spam calls, must leave a stored outcome with transcript and recording link.≥100%

The assistant says it is automated, follows your recording consent rules and never gives safety advice beyond your approved emergency script. A confident summary is not proof; the recording and transcript stay linked to every request.

How quickly should the job request be ready?

Choose how soon after a call ends the job request or booking should be in your queue. The caller is answered straight away in every option.

Timing details

Time from the end of the call to a stored job request or booking, including transcription, checks, system calls and retries. Pauses during the conversation are tested separately. Confirm call volume and hardware with your provider.

The target applies to at least 95% of agreed test runs, with 3 in progress at a time.

How much do you want to spend per call?

Choose the machine budget per answered call. Tighter budgets may use shorter prompts, cheaper voices or fewer checks.

Cost details

Includes phone line minutes, speech recognition, speech output, model calls, retries and shared hosting allocation. Phone numbers, field service subscriptions, staff time and the calling agent are separate. Long or repeated calls cost more.

Reference machine cost: $0.23 – 0.33 per call at 400 calls a month. The selected cap is a target to test, not a replacement for this estimate.

Where do you want it to run?

Run the call workflow in your cloud or on your own server. Choose whether call audio and text may go to approved speech and AI services.

Data and access details

Runs in a cloud account you control, with access controls, call logs and recordings kept there.

Call audio goes to the approved speech service and the transcript to the approved model. Agree retention and access first.

Calls still arrive through a phone carrier. Keep recordings and customer details in your environment, tell callers they are speaking with an automated assistant and follow your local recording consent rules. Private speech and AI models need your own hardware and a pilot.

How do you want to use it?

Use a job request page, your current AI agent or a dedicated office agent. You can choose more than one.

Anything else your provider should know?

Optional. Your choices are included automatically.

Common questions

Do I need this if my field service software already offers an AI receptionist?

Not necessarily. Try the built-in add-on first. A separate workflow makes sense when you need your own emergency rules, recordings in your environment, a different software or several systems.

Will it handle gas leaks and other emergencies?

It follows the emergency rules you approve: it gives the approved safety script and alerts your on-call person. It does not make safety judgements on its own.

Can it quote prices?

Only fees you approve, such as a call-out fee. Job prices and anything else go to your office as a callback request.

Can it book directly into my calendar?

Yes, with the booking option. It books only slots your software shows as open and leaves a job request when it cannot.

Can I run it without external AI services?

Yes. Choose private speech and AI models and supply your own hardware. Calls still use a phone carrier, and voice quality and cost are measured in the pilot.
