Deploy and schedule an existing Python property-monitoring tool on Linux
Project brief
This is setup, not a rewrite. Install an existing Python 3.10+ property-alert tool and its dependencies on an agreed Linux VPS, keeping the supplied directory structure. It reads a dedicated Gmail inbox through IMAP, enriches listings and writes to two Notion databases plus CSV/XLSX backups.
Store revocable keys only in a private, permission-restricted environment file. Run the supplied connectivity check and capped 20-item test; report before proceeding. Then schedule weekly cron and show a successful scheduled run.
Leave a one-page host/schedule/key-rotation note. No application-logic changes, device remote-access software or anti-bot bypass. Code, server access, keys, hosting costs and permission for automated source access must be agreed first; stop if access is prohibited.
Deliverables & acceptance
What you'll deliver
- Configured deployment, test/scheduled-run logs and one-page handover
What the result must meet
- Permitted capped run updates both Notion databases and writes backups
- Weekly cron is installed and one successful run is evidenced
- Secrets stay outside code/Git with restricted file permissions
