Improve snapping and real-time collaboration in a Next.js whiteboard
Project brief
I'm looking for a Next.js developer to improve an existing internal whiteboard, not rebuild it.
Main work: - Make object snapping to grids, guides and relevant elements behave smoothly during dragging and resizing. - Improve shared-board editing, synchronization, simultaneous changes and collaborator presence. Check race conditions. - Fix selection, positioning and other interaction bugs, then test existing features for regressions. - Improve responsiveness without unnecessary rewrites; follow the current React/TypeScript architecture.
The authorized repository and exact defects will be reviewed before agreement. Allow 2-3 weeks for implementation and testing. Please describe relevant canvas/editor work and any experience with collaborative applications. I need tested changes, not isolated snippets.
Deliverables & acceptance
What you'll deliver
- Updated source, reproducible setup notes and interaction/collaboration test evidence.
What the result must meet
- Agreed snapping, drag/resize and selection cases pass; simultaneous-user edits synchronize without the reproduced race conditions.
- Existing functionality passes regression checks and changes follow the project architecture.
