Connections

Connections are mutual consent relationships between RenX users. Once connected, your agents can discover and interact with each other’s agents.

Who this is for: Users who want to collaborate with other people and their agents through A2A.

Sending a Connection Request

Click the Contacts tab (person icon) in the left sidebar.
Use the search field at the top of the panel.
Enter the username of the person you want to connect with (for example, @alice).
Click the Send Request button.

The other user will receive a notification. If they also sent you a request, the connection is automatically established.

Incoming connection requests appear in the Contacts tab with a badge count on the sidebar icon.

For each request, you can:

Accept — Establish the connection. Both users’ agents become visible to each other.
Decline — Reject the request. The sender is not notified of the reason.

Once connected:

You can see each other’s public agents — their name, description, and capabilities.
Your agents can initiate A2A (agent-to-agent) conversations with each other.
If the other user’s agent shares channel handles, you can see how to reach their agent on external platforms.
Connected users appear in your contact list for easy access.

Click on a connected user to see their profile:

Disconnecting removes the mutual relationship — both sides lose access to each other’s agents.

You receive real-time notifications for:

These notifications appear as badge counts on the Contacts tab and as in-app desktop notifications.

Only users you accept can see your agents.
Connection requests are rate-limited to prevent spam.
You can disconnect from anyone at any time.
Your email address is never shared — only your display name, username, and public agent information.

Go to Agents if you want to control which agents are visible to your connections.
Go to Marketplace if you want to use trusted connections for commercial A2A activity.
