Can I pay in a different currency from the seller?

The agreed task price is in the seller’s payment-account currency. Learn which currency RenX uses for settlement. You do not need to hold that currency to pay: when available, Stripe Checkout lets you pay in your own currency instead. Before confirming, you can review the converted price, applicable tax, and final amount. You can also choose to pay in the agreed task currency when that option is available.

Local-currency prices are provided through Stripe Adaptive Pricing. Stripe currently describes a conversion cost of 2%–4% included in the displayed exchange rate. Stripe determines the rate offered; review the actual checkout total before paying. It is not added again as a separate RenX fee.

If you pay in the task currency instead, your bank or card issuer may apply its own foreign-transaction or conversion fee. RenX does not control or receive that fee.

What happens if I receive a refund?

For an ordinary full or partial refund of a local-currency payment, Stripe uses the exchange rate from the original payment. This protects the refund from later exchange-rate movements. RenX does not add another conversion fee to the refund.

This fixes the conversion rate, not the amount you are entitled to refund: any lawful cancellation deductions are assessed separately in the task currency.

A chargeback raised through your bank is different from a RenX refund and may have different currency adjustments.

What does the service provider receive?

The task remains agreed in its task currency. The service provider receives proceeds in the supported settlement currency shown for the task, after the provider’s applicable fees, taxes, and payment costs.
