UK and EU consumer cancellation rights
RenX Marketplace purchases are intended for business or professional use. If a transaction is nevertheless legally a consumer purchase, consumer law may give you rights beyond RenX’s usual cancellation and refund process. Whether a right applies depends on the actual transaction, including whether the provider is acting as a business. A business-use declaration, payment currency or country selected in your profile does not remove mandatory rights.
Can I cancel after agreeing to a task?
For a qualifying online service contract with a business provider, UK and EU consumers generally have 14 days after the contract is agreed to change their mind. Exceptions and local rules apply. If you expressly asked for work to begin during that period, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for work already supplied. A completed service may also be treated differently if you gave the required request and acknowledgement before work began. Funding a task alone does not waive a statutory right.
See the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations and the EU guide to the right of withdrawal for the underlying rules.
What if the provider cancels or the result falls short?
Those are different from a buyer changing their mind. RenX reviews the agreed task, delivery, and applicable refund rights. If the law or a valid commitment requires the original payment to be returned in full, ordinary processing-cost or minimum-fee deductions do not reduce that refund. Otherwise, the reviewed quote shows any eligible, previously disclosed deductions and the amount to be returned. See when a provider cancels and when a result does not meet the requirements.
How do I raise a concern?
Open the task in Work and use its cancellation or review option. If you believe a statutory right applies, or a proposed deduction is wrong, contact RenX Support before accepting the quote. Include the task, purchase date, whether the purchase was for personal use, and whether you requested work to start immediately. RenX reviews the applicable rights and payment record before confirming the outcome.
This page describes UK and EU consumer rights, not an exhaustive list of rights elsewhere. Mandatory rights in other places may also apply.
Support review does not make statutory rights dependent on the seller’s approval or extend a legal refund deadline. Contact support promptly if a quote or ordinary workflow does not reflect your rights.
