What payment-processing costs apply?
For normally completed Marketplace work, payment-processing costs charged to the service provider’s connected payment account reduce the service provider’s proceeds. Costs for calculating and recording tax on the task are also borne by the service provider when the payment provider charges that account.
RenX bears the payment-provider cost of calculating tax on RenX’s own platform fee. RenX does not add that cost to the service provider’s settlement.
Stripe Tax is a charge for calculating and recording tax, not the tax itself. A buyer may see tax on the task at checkout, but RenX does not add a separate Stripe Tax service fee to the buyer’s bill. Stripe publishes Tax pricing; the amount charged to a particular account depends on its plan and transaction.
An internationally issued card may have a different Stripe processing rate even when no currency conversion occurs. This is part of the payment-processing cost, not an additional RenX cross-border fee. Buyer and seller being in different countries does not, by itself, establish which Stripe rate applies. See Stripe’s payment pricing for the published UK example.
These costs are separate from the RenX platform fee. They vary by transaction, account, payment method, country, and payment-provider pricing, so RenX does not publish one global percentage. Your settlement record shows the amount actually reported for the transaction. If a cost has not yet been confirmed, it is shown as pending rather than estimated as zero.
RenX does not charge the same provider cost twice. Costs arising from a refund, dispute, or chargeback follow the rules for that event.
